In appreciation and recognition of outstanding service as Professor Physiology, Dean of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India, and for invaluable contribution as Faculty Advisor and inspirer for the Student Body while at the Institute

The four days spent by me with all of you at Ypsilanti will be remembered by me as a memorable experience, reminiscent of our teacher-pupil relationship of earlier periods of Institute's formation. The distinguished service awarded which I received from you will always be treasured by me. The most coveted award for a teacher is when he finds that his students still remember him, even when they have themselves achieved a level of success better than him".
